Echo started in 2013 as a single wooden building on Baan Tai beach — one kitchen, a dozen beds, a hammock that nobody owned and everyone used. A decade later, we're still doing the same thing in two places: giving people a soft landing on islands that rarely offer one.
Our rooms are simple. Air-conditioned dorms for the ones passing through, private doubles for the ones staying a while, deluxe sea-view rooms for the ones celebrating something. We don't pretend to be a hotel. We are a house with good neighbours and a reception that knows when the next boat leaves.
Echo Beach — the original. Beachfront bar with sunset views, outdoor lounge, pool table, volleyball net, pre-parties on Fridays and the best shortcut to the Full Moon after-boat.

Monday through Friday, 9am. Free for guests. Phangan only. No levels, no judgment, just salt air and a mat someone remembered to bring.
Koh Tao is one of the cheapest and best places on earth to learn. Our sister school Echo Divers runs Open Water courses from our front door.
